In the construction industry safety is talked about a lot. With some General Contractors and most sub-contractors, that is
just what it is - "TALK". IMS has been training and creating an environment that starts from the top management and flows
down to our team of employee's. When it comes to safety, we stand apart from most other mason contractors.
IMS has adopted a "Behavior Based Safety" program which empowers a different employee each week on every jobsite. The safety
"Observer" for the week spends approximately 15 minutes a day analyzing jobsite conditions, employee work habits, and
monitoring the overall safety on the jobsite. At the end of every week the past, current, and future "Observers" meet to
discuss all the safe or unsafe items that they've encountered and how to improve on them.
As part of growing a successful business, IMS's philosophy and core values focus on creating a safe work environment and
positive attitude towards safety. Some of the ways we are focusing on safety include:
- Maintaining a drug-free workplace. All of our employees are subject to pre-employment, random, and for cause drug and
alcohol testing.
- All of our foremen have received 10-hour OSHA and CPR training.
