Alan started his career in the masonry field and quickly realized his dream of opening his own business.
In 1977 he started AJ Masonry and began doing small commercial projects all over Utah. He continued to
grow the company and in 1989 decided to change the name to IMS Masonry, standing for Integrated Masonry
Services. Alan worked hard to develop a company that would stand above the others. Through his
dedication to continuous improvement and constant attention to maintaining important relationships in the
industry he has realized that goal.
Alan is a key asset to the associations he is part of. He has held numerous positions at all levels in the
Utah Masonry Council (UMC), Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC), and the Mason Contractors Association
of America (MCAA). His dedication to promoting the masonry industry extends further than just paying his
dues, he is an active participant in each organization, bringing his years of experience and expertise to
everything he is a part of.
Alan leads IMS Masonry with a vision and dedication that is evident in every decision he makes. He has
created an organization of skilled and loyal employees that assist in setting IMS apart from others in the
industry.
